Because I didn’t come across any. But now that some have been brought to my attention, I’m not sure I’ll continue once I finish the ones in my queue. I think it goes to 24.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I’d searched Chicago and stuff and hadn’t found one, which is why I started this after thinking about these things walking around. But unless someone tells me to stop or there aren’t any more ideas from people, I probably won’t.

Chicago is a pretty big city with some fairly distinct neighborhoods. The area that Columbia is in overlaps with the financial and touristy parts of downtown.
The weather here covers just about everything imaginable, except for the extreme sort of weather you just don’t find in the midwest (hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.) and can go from being 40 degrees one day to 90 the next.
The CTA is a lifesaver because you can get just about anywhere in the city via public transportation if you allocate enough time, though it isn’t always the safest option. Students can get a U-Pass, which is unlimited rides a semester for a set fee.
I actually grew up right outside of the city, but I spend a lot of time in it because that’s where I work, so I don’t have the strongest grip on what’s going on at night, especially for a college student. Also, with such a broad question, I’m not really sure how to answer it.
My favorite chicago tumblr posts lots of pretty pictures, and some other things, related to the city. It might be worth following it as well.
